Dale Potter, O.D.

Dr. Dale Potter is a longtime resident of Alabama, where he was born and raised. After graduating from the University of Alabama, he worked briefly in the area of pharmacology before deciding to apply to Optometry School. After graduating with honors (Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Student), he started a private practice in Cullman, AL in 1980. In 1983 Dr. Potter had an opportunity to pursue a teaching career at the University of Missouri School of Optometry. In 1991, Dr. Potter decided to return to private practice in Decatur, where he has been to date. In his free time Dr. Potter's interests include providing free eye examinations and glasses on church related mission trips, going to MLB baseball parks (16 so far), and spending time with his three grandchildren.
